From February 2019, you will no longer be able to order repeat prescriptions over the telephone.
We have looked in detail at the impacts of patients ordering medication over the telephone and mainly due to a safety issue, the partners have taken the decision to remove this facility. Other methods for ordering prescriptions are detailed in the poster below. If you require further information, please contact the surgery.
If you are on regular medication you may obtain a repeat prescription by calling at the surgery, telephoning after 10am until the end of January 2019, or writing and enclosing a stamped addressed envelope. Normally a supply for one month will be issued.
- Please allow 72 hours notice for the prescription to be prepared during normal working hours (Monday - Friday).
- Please bring or post your computerised repeat prescription slip with a tick against the drugs you require; this form also shows the date your medication should be reviewed with the doctor. These slips may be left in the box at the reception counter.
- Arrangements can be made for your prescriptions to be collected by your local chemist to dispense.
Patients who live outside of Ripon may obtain their medicines from our dispensary. We are unable to dispense medication for other patients because of government restrictions. The same guidelines apply for repeat prescriptions as above.
